About Us

Welcome to the Superstition Mountain area community of Apache Junction. Here you will find breathtaking displays of spring flowers, blue skies and stunning desert vistas. Vivid sunsets bathe the mountains in colors of purple, pink and amber. There are many ways to enjoy this unique region: hike, ride horses, camp, fish, shop, boat or search for lost treasure. Relax, unwind and take it all in.

Drive the historic Apache Trail, a designated Scenic Byway, and discover tales of lost gold, bandits, miners, and treasure hunters. Discover a history of mystic native shrines, Spanish exploration, ranching, and of course, cowboys.

Apache Junction is a growing community with a rural hometown appeal. It is the easternmost town in the Phoenix metropolitan area. It offers a laid-back lifestyle with wide-open space all around. The city began with mining and transportation roots and was a convergence point of labor and supplies used for mining and dam construction.

Year-round outdoor activities, natural beauty and temperate winters draw seasonal visitors year after year. Just 35 miles east of Phoenix, Apache Junction is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to provide the wide open spaces that people come out west to find.

The Renaissance Fair is a popular springtime event and The Peralta Trailhead provides access into the Wilderness Area to hike and explore native petroglyphs carved into the canyon walls and rocks.

Enjoy the entire Superstition Mountain experience!
